Wakesiah Apartments

A 36 unit affordable housing project located on Wakesiah avenue across from the Nanaimo Senior Secondary School and Vancouver Island University.  The rental building is composed primarily of one bedroom units, a couple of two bedrooms, and some micro units (less than 350 ft2).  Elements of the neighbour's history of agricultural use, military base, and mining history are reflected in the materials, colours, timber structures and landscaping arrangement.
